I have been using HONOR View10 for the past three months as my primary device. And here’s what I found out.
- Price: The HONOR View 10 did surprise me. Though it with6GB+128GB version is Rs.29999, more expensive one among the HONOR phones, it is still far more budget than other flagship mobile phones.
- Kirin 970 SoC: Kirin 970 CPU ranks as a Tier-1 flagship SoC, using latest 10 nano-meter manufacturing process packing a total of 5.5 billion transistors. In my day-to-day usage of the HONOR View10, I experienced almost no stuttering at all.
- Build Quality: Its exterior design is practical. The aluminum back with slim frame retains the sense of style while also taking into account the sturdiness and dirt resistance. Never worry about dealing with fingerprints here.
Up front, the HONOR View 10’s display panel has also received a lot of praise, including an 18:9 display with FHD+ resolution (1,080 x 2,160 pixels). With an ultra-narrow screen surround, it looks longer than the norm, not wider, but still pretty good. Its LCD display is crisp and generally accurate and the contrast is excellent.
- EMUI: I have no complaints about EMUI. I am pleased by some of the small but smart software additions. Actions like swiping up from the bottom of the lock screen to reveal a toolbar with the flashlight, a calculator and more that feels natural.
- Camera: In well-lit conditions, the HONOR View10 can stand up to other cameras on much more expensive phones. The pictures turn out to be excellent, with good detailing, excellent contrast and having good exposure. It got Artificial Image Stabilization (AIS) which could improve stability while shooting still image under low light. So the handset does not support for optical image stabilization (OIS). More or less, it hurts low-light performance and video camera stability. Sure, it is I feel that could be improved.
- Long-lasting Battery and Fast Charging: Equipped with a 3,750-mAh unit that supports Super Charge technology, the HONOR View 10 can last about more than one day if you don’t use your phone too often like me.
EMUI 8.0 on View 10 is very intelligent and uses its AI capabilities along with Kirin 970 SoC to provide extraordinary battery endurance. I believe that its power consumption is the same as what it has said on the poster, but it may last shorter after using it for a long time.
