Canadian Securities Course Text Book

The Canadian Securities Course (CSIC,) is a basic continuing education program provided by the Canadian Securities Institute. CSIC’s program and test are required for anyone who wishes to become a securities broker with the Canadian Securities Exchange. Individuals who wish to begin their career as brokers in the Canadian market can do their research through the website of the CSC.

The Canadian securities course textbook primary objective is to help students prepare for the certification examinations that are required for financial services brokers in Canada. These exams are based on the same test that American brokers must take. Because of Canada’s market structure, the entrance requirements for these tests are slightly different. The tests are focused on the knowledge and skills required to analyze and evaluate the selling and buying process of Canadian securities. They also cover investment goals such as risk management and fundamentals of investment. Students should also be proficient in English and hold a high school diploma.

Canadian Securities Course candidates do not require certification for the purpose of becoming brokers in Canada. There aren’t any national exams to get a Canadian brokerage license. Once the candidates successfully complete the Canadian Securities Course and complete the exit test, they will be able to take the test for the Canadian Securities Broker designation. Brokerage firms assess applicants to determine whether they are eligible for the Broker Brokerage Brokering title.

Brokers have the option of obtaining a Brokerage Brokering designation at two levels: Associate Broker ( AB) and the Senior Broker ( BS). A Canadian securities regulator can grant the AB designation and requires you to complete the Canadian Securities Examination. The BS designation requires completion of an Australian domestic securities exam as well as the International Securities Brokerage Examination. The exams can be completed by people with experience in international markets in order to obtain the senior broker designation.

Canadian Securities Course candidates must enroll with their state or territorial securities regulator. Written and practical tests are part of the tests and assessments. These examinations are available in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver and include the U.S. The market as well. In addition to the written examinations, applicants must pass an oral examination and an exam in corporate finance. When taking the licensure exams, candidates are not required to have any experience or knowledge in the field of accounting, and a thorough understanding of investing methods.

The candidate who has completed the Canadian Securities Course successfully will be awarded a certification. This will enable the holder to open the Canadian mutual fund account. Additionally, investors will be provided with the list of investment firms that they can pick from should they wish to become members of these investment funds. The mutual fund companies handle all brokerage for their members’ investments. When an investor completes the course, they are granted a permit to invest and trade.
